Meet LP

Hey there! I’m a licensed psychotherapist with The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Certified Canadian Counselor (CCC).

In my work with clients, I’ve seen too many professionals stuck in a cycle of being unable to achieve a healthy work-life balance and struggling to maintain what they say are their top priorities: their home life, relationships, emotional health, and overall integration of the different spheres of their lives.

That’s why I’ve been helping professionals overcome important life transitions, reprioritize their values, and achieve their next steps— emotionally, personally, and professionally. All with a holistic approach to life and leadership.

But… I still noticed a gap: there are so many professionals and leaders looking for help, and not enough resources (or time!) to fill that massive gap. My 1:1 counseling schedule filled up, but the need for sustainability in professionals’ lives just keeps growing.

Enter: the overcome cafe.

I created this online, private membership space for two different, yet specific, purposes:

  1. To facilitate a space where a group of like-minded people can learn to be vulnerable, courageous, and outwork emotional health tools together in a community.

  2. To do intentional work and (un)learning through group coaching cohorts and 6-week programs, together.

Whichever option makes the most sense for you, the cafe is for those who:

  • Are professionals - typically in health, management, sports, or the arts.

  • Lead active lifestyles and aspire to live joyous and meaningful lives.

  • Typically have the “good life” on paper, but wrestle with internal fears, thoughts, and insecurities.

  • Want to live a well-balanced life and are ready to overcome the obstacles and hurdles they’re currently facing.

Your best version is worth the investment, and emotions shouldn’t stand in your way. Let’s work together -

Get to know me a bit better:

I’ll be honest: I dreamt of being a therapist at a very young age.

My friends wrote in my yearbook at the back of their graduation photos were indicative of the path I was destined for: “Thank you so much for listening and all the advice!… You’re tough, but you’ve really helped me!”

Years later, here I am. Blessed to be doing what I love.

I thrive when I get to learn something new about myself—and most of my clients tell me this passion is contagious.

I am this way because of the great people I’ve worked alongside and been around colleagues and mentors willing to teach me to become more passionate about my personal and professional life. And now, I help others in that, too.

My professional goal is to help professionals overcome obstacles in order to reach their potential.

I am not the hero in your story. I am the compass— the one who helps guides you along the way to a better version of yourself. So that you can be bold, open, and courageous—while learning new things about yourself and how you want to live.

You are doing hard work, and are very capable.

With the launch of the overcome cafe, my latest shift as a professional came at a time where living a well-balanced life became my top priority and I noticed that so many of my clients go through this exact process too. We all do.

That’s why it’s my mission to spark this healthy balance and bolder life for others’ lives.

My therapeutic approach?

Those who work with me love that I use validated approaches, albeit novel ones—such as Interpersonal Psychotherapy and Mentalization Based Therapy.

Those closest to me know me as passionate, discerning, intentional, and honest. I love cycling and my ideal morning consists of waking up before dawn and going for a long ride and get back just in time for breakfast with my wife and daughters.

I believe that everyone gets to be their best selves—and that includes you.
